Steven Gillis

I was living in Virginia for almost 20 years before moving here to the Outer Banks area to open my agency. I started my career in Marine Corps for 8 years before putting myself through college at University of Phoenix. I’ve been a business owner for majority of my career because I enjoy working closely with whatever community I am in. I got into the insurance industry because I was looking for a career change that would still allow me to use my degree while still helping people. I opened my insurance agency in November of 2011 and I’ve been providing Dare county and the surrounding areas with the auto insurance, life insurance, homeowners insurance, and renters insurance ever since. I’m glad that I moved to Kitty Hawk because the weather is fantastic, and the people are friendly. I am very active in my community, I am member of the Currituck of Chamber of Commerce, a member of the H.O.G Outer Banks Chapter and I volunteer for the local high school’s drivers ed program. It’s always interesting to meet people in the community and then work with them on their insurance and financial needs. Come say hello to my team and I at our office located right in Kitty Hawk.
